Hurricane Sandy

We had been offline preparing since 10/27, due to hurricane Sandy. On 10/29 we had a mandatory evacuation from our area, that was subsequently hit hard and almost completely wiped out. I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude and wishes to all who have survived this storm and send our prayers to those who are still in the recovery process. We were blessed in that we had a place to go to (my parents) and that our power was finally restored after 10 days. Although we are still going through some issues and are not 100% back in our home (as of 11/28) we are just grateful that we at least still have a home. Sincerely Patricia

What Is The Best Niche For Internet Marketing?

by Lyn Troyer

What is the best niche for internet marketing? This is the
most common question asked by both beginners and
intermediate internet marketers.

With the decline of the economy more people want to ensure
that they choose the best niche to guarantee their chances
of success. The truth is there isn't a "best" niche for
internet marketing.

There are several niche choices that will provide you with
a sustainable profit-growing business for years to come.
You also have to understand that this is the internet. Some
things just won't sell, such as products with a short shelf
life and things change very quickly online. Some that
everyone was buying a few months is no longer as
interesting.

Before I get to some of the best niches for internet
marketing right now, here are two tips that, no matter
what, will always help you choose an appropriate niche.
Also remember a niche is not an industry it is a segment
of consumers that you can service.

1. Look at the niches covered by the top selling books,
ebooks and DVD's. You don't have to waste too much time
doing global market research, simply look at what the pros
are doing. If there are a lot of books in the self help,
DIY sector most likely it's because that's the information
be sought after.

If you take a look in a bookstore today you'll see a lot of
books and guides on frugal living, "How to lose weight on a
budget," "How to grow your business for less," "Classy but
cheap wedding ideas."

They all focus on how people can continue to do the things
they did before but for a lot less. Ebooks, shelf books,
DVD's even movies always mirror what happening in the
global world. Taking a look at what bestselling authors are
doing will help put you on the right track.

2. What compliments what's already out there. If a customer
already has a fork why not give them a spoon, or makes
things simpler, show them how to use the fork better than
they were before.

Some of the best niche ideas for internet marketing are not
"out of left field ideas" they are "addition-to" ideas.
People find a niche that is already profitable and has
longevity and then look for pieces that are missing in that
niche; they then supply products and services that
compliment that niche.

Before you know it people are realizing they can't have
peanut butter without the jam. The "new" idea works so well
with the old one that they have to be taken together.

An example of this might be article marketing and SEO. One
person decided to help people gain traffic using articles;
another comes along and taught people how to get better
traffic using articles by optimizing it for search engines.
You don't need to start from scratch, simply look for a
niche with a good foundation and then look for something
that will compliment it.

Now what is the best niche for internet marketing? Here are
a few flourishing ideas.

1. Business psychics. With all the uncertainty, people are
turning to those gifted people who can see into the future
for some insight. This isn't a new niche but because of the
economy it has taken growth.

2. Business coach. More and more businesses want the aid of
business coaches to help them reach their business goals.

3. Freelance marketing. People want to make money without
going over budget, so more people are looking for ways to
cut costs without cutting quality. Freelancers tend to
charge a little less than large or even medium sized ad
firms, making a highly sought after option.

4. Relationship sites. This is a niche that is booming.
Love has always been something that people search the
internet for but more now than ever people who provide
relationship advice are seeing a growth in profits.

5. Networking consultant. Those who are good at making
contacts are also making a lot of money. Even before the
downturn of the economy people wanted to build their list
of contacts, clients etc. People are now turning to others
to help them learn how to put themselves out there and make
solid contact.

The best niche for internet marketing is one that you have
some knowledge in, has longevity and offers quality
profitable products.

How To Use Your Customers for Product Ideas

In the normal paradigm of a new business product, an entrepreneur comes up with a product idea, starts a business, and tries to help it grow. But in this paradigm the product is conceived before it is even known if it will be successful. Now, a good entrepreneur will perform the necessary market research during which it may be determined that the product is not viable.
